Volunteer
Tutor (Learning Coach)
Want to share your knowledge and help others in your community achieve their learning goals? Consider becoming a volunteer Learning Coach with Ponoka & Rimbey Adult Learning! Training is available, hours are incredibly flexible (scheduled with your needs in mind as well as your learners'), and you don't have to be an expert in your subject to make a real impact. You only need to be one step ahead on a topic to help another person through it -- and your care, compassion, patience, and encouragement will go a long way.
When that tricky paragraph or equation finally "clicks" and your learner's eyes light up with excitement and confidence in themselves, it's a truly rewarding experience for everyone in the room.
If you're ready to join the team, we're currently seeking tutors in any (or all) of the following areas:
-
English Language Learning (ELL)
-
Reading & Writing (elementary/secondary-level)
-
Math (elementary/secondary-level)
-
Science (elementary/secondary-level)
-
Social Studies (elementary/secondary-level)
