Our Mission

Ponoka & Rimbey Adult Learning Society is a non-profit society funded by Alberta Advanced Education to serve adult Albertan residents. We are part of the Community Adult Learning Program (CALP)  and have over 80 sister sites throughout the province. We have been operating in our community for over 40 years and are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of local people who are passionate about helping their community members improve their lives through education. Their support ensures continued success in bringing learning opportunities to our communities.

Campus Alberta Central

Campus Alberta Central (CAC) is a joint venture between Olds College of Agriculture & Technology and Red Deer Polytechnic that provides post-secondary learning opportunities in communities throughout Central Alberta. CAC works with community members and local employers to identify high-demand programs in areas such as trades, health care, business, and human services.

The Ponoka location currently offers the Health Care Aide certificate yearly each Winter (January start) and the Practical Nurse diploma program every 2 years (September start).
